UGANDA SIGNS A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH CHINA ON NUCLEAR ENERGY DEVELOPMENT

The Minister of Energy and Mineral Development, Hon. Eng.Iren Muloni on 11th May 2018 signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Chairman of China National Nuclear Corporation(CNNC), Mr. Wang Shoujun on the development of atomic energy for peaceful purposes in Uganda. The Minister was accompanied by the Ambassador of the Republic of Uganda to China, Dr. Chrispus Kiyonga and Senior officials from the Ministry as well as Atomic Energy Council of Uganda.

While in China, Hon. Muloni also held a meeting with the Vice Administrator of National Energy Administration of China Mr. Liu Baohua and signed an agreed minute on cooperation flamework in energy/power development between the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development of Uganda and National Energy Administration of China.
