The Government of Uganda through the Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Control (DCIC) has issued a statement confirming 4th April 2022 as the deadline date for phasing out the old machine-readable passports.
The Embassy therfore reminds all Ugandans living in the People’s Republic of China to process their new e-passports ahead of the deadline date to avoid a last-minute stampede that may cause unnecessary delays.
